Adelle Wright received her B. Sc. (Hons) in physics from the Australian National University (ANU) in 2015. She is currently a Ph. D. candidate at the ANU Mathematical Sciences Institute under the supervision of Em. Prof. Robert (Bob) Dewar and A/Prof. Matthew Hole.
At PPPL, she works primarily with her co-supervisor, Dr. Stuart Hudson, on theoretical developments and modelling of three-dimensional (3D) magnetohydrodynamics (MHD). Her research focusses on developing a theoretical framework for addressing the formation of discontinuous 3D MHD equilibria and their realisation as steady states of dynamical systems, with applications including both tokamak and stellarator plasmas. Her numerical work utilises the M3D-C1 extended MHD code and the Stepped Pressure Equilibrium Code (SPEC).
