Dr. Marina Gorelenkova is an applied computational scientist in the Computational Plasma Physics Group. Dr.Gorelenkova holds a Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics, and a M.Sc. in Theoretical Physics from Lomonosov Moscow State University (Moscow, Russia). Before her appointment at PPPL, she held research engineer position at Troitsk Institute for Innovative and Fusion Research (branch of Kurchatov Atomic Energy Institute, Moscow, Russia) and research scientist at Skobeltsyn Institute of Nuclear Physics, Lomonosov Moscow State University (Moscow, Russia).

She is an expert in developing and supporting time dependent transport analysis code for tokamak experiments (TRANSP). As a TRANSP developer she is involved in scientific computing, software engineering, plasma physics modeling.
